先日、ISON彗星のISONってどんな組織って話があったりなかったりしたので、googleってみました。
International Scientific Optical Network (ISON) & Low Frequency VLBI Network (LFVN)
ってことみたいですね。
web pageをみるとdebri reseachとかfaint GEO objectsとかの文字が見えます。
スペースデブリと地球に接近する小惑星の監視がメインの仕事でしょうか？
- deep sky surveys;
- search for comets and asteroids;
- investigation of the objects of large angular size;
- investigation of transient phenomenon, e.g., gamma-ray bursts;
- search for satellites of the Earth and theirs debris in surrounding space.
を目的に掲げてます。
CCDは、Kodak KAF-16801EとMarconi CCD 42-40だそうです。
移動天体に合わせた追尾をすると比較星が線状に写るのですが、それを比較星に使うソフトとかを作ったみたいです。
